Dominique Delivers for Norwalk and Westport.

Two years ago I promised to bring compassion, respect, communication, and results while representing you in Hartford. It continues to be an honor and privilege to be elected to public service by my neighbors. I am a pragmatic legislator who stays true to my beliefs and works across the aisle to effect real change for our community and the state.

As Your Voice in Hartford, I helped write and shepherd our sweeping, generational elder care bill (HB 5001) into law, wrote and introduced the Green Jobs Corps Bill on the House floor and got it over the finish line, fought for and won $1,000,000 in the state budget to establish the Early Literacy Fund (ELF) for our children and families, and co-wrote the workforce development, entrepreneurship, and small business incentive provisions of the House priority climate bill.

With your support, we also:

  • Championed children and their families by securing the biggest investment in public education ever.

  • Expanded our commitment to mental health resources for our youth.

  • Prioritized our seniors and elders by expediting Medicaid coverage so they can live with dignity and the quality of life they deserve.

  • Fought back against historic inflation by cutting $600 million in state income taxes for working and middle class families.

  • Supported our Veterans with property tax exemptions and expanded eligibility for Military Relief Fund grants for their families.

  • Defended and strengthened women’s access to health care, prenatal, and reproductive services.

  • Created safer schools and communities through gun violence prevention and common sense policies to reduce firearm-related accidents and domestic violence.

  • Brought back infrastructure bonding funds to make upgrades for safer streets and neighborhoods prone to flooding.

  • Established a Fallen Officers Fund to provide families of police officers who died in the line of duty with cash assistance and health care coverage.

Together We Can

Dominique will continue to be there for all neighborhoods in the District as we move our community forward with integrity and empathy. Dominique will continue the fight to:

  • Ensure quality of life for all by acting decisively guided by data and community input, being responsive to the needs of residents, and being accessible to all.

  • Build a safe, healthy, and prosperous future where the hard work of the next generations are able to be rewarded by being a force for good in our diverse community where we share concern and care for each other.

  • Put children, families, and our elders first, and keep the community we build together at the heart of our state.
